Number Story’s Mission
The mission of Number Story is to:
- Create awareness that ACEs and a toxic stress response may affect our lives as adults.
- Provide a deeper level of knowledge and understanding of the wide-ranging impacts of ACEs.
- Empower us to prevent, reduce, and heal from ACEs and toxic stress — for ourselves, the children in our lives, and in our communities.
This video — which we created for the Number Story launch — speaks to all three and sets the foundation for learning, understanding, exploration, and healing. And it’s why, within just a short span of time, over a million people have viewed it in its entirety.
We all have a Number Story. Our childhood experiences have shaped our lives, but they don’t get to define our future. We get to write the next chapter.
